Q & A

Q. Who do you think will be the star of the 2012 Paralympics?
A. It seems quite an obvious choice but Oscar Pistorius will be a massive crowd draw at London 2012. From a British point of view there are so many to choose from but I think David Weir will win a couple of golds on the track, maybe more. For me David epitomises everything that is great about the Paralympics GB team. He trains hard, he's got spirit and he has that winning mentality. And he's an Arsenal fan too.

Q. Which event – or which athlete – are you most looking forward to watching and why?
A. I think the T44 100m will be a fascinating race with Oscar Pistorius looking for revenge for his World Championship defeat to Jerome Singleton. They always have such close races. I'm also really looking forward to the 5-a-side football. Those players possess incredible awareness and skill.

Q. Which of the ParalympicsGB team do you think will surprise us?
A. I saw Ola Abidogun win a gold and silver on his BT Paralympic World Cup debut in the T46 200m and 100m. He's only 18 and has a great future ahead of him. Going back to my last answer, I think Great Britain will do well in the 5-a-side football.

Q. What aspect of covering the Paralympics are you most excited about?
A. I'm looking forward to being behind the scenes and close to all the action. I think London 2012 will be the best Paralympic Games so far and it will be a great experience to be a part of that. I'm also hopeful of going to some more showbiz parties with Channel 4, I'm not going to lie.

Q. What is your biggest fear about the Games?
A. That everyone thinks the coverage is crap! Ha ha. I'm only joking. It's hard to say because I know the tickets have sold well so can't say I'm worried about poor crowds. I'd worry about a poor performance from Great Britain but again I don't think that will happen. From a larger scale of thinking, which I do rarely, I would say that I'd worry that the Paralympics still didn't change the public's perception of disability or educate them. It will though. I'm arguing with myself here. Next question.

Q. Tell us something about another member of the C4Paralympics team.
A. I'm a massive fan of this question! I should be careful of what I say though because this is a family website. Martin Dougan is a brilliant singer as much as I hate to say it. He is like a young Elton John. From a purely singing point of view of course. And something you may have realised if you've met her, watched her or followed her on Twitter, is that Rachael Latham does not stop talking. It doesn't matter what it's about, it's incessant. 'What you wearing to this thing tonight?' 'What you up to?' 'I'm hungry.' 'Did you know I won a World Championship?' And so on and so forth.

Q. The GB team won 42 golds last time, how many will they get at London 2012?
A. You want an exact number? I wonder if you can bet on this. I would say definitely more than 42. In fact I'd go as far as saying I reckon we could get another 15 or so gold medals in us at least. I will go for 58 golds.
