Q & A

Q. Who do you think will be the star of the 2012 Paralympics?
A. Without question it will be Oscar Pistorius, simply from the publicity he will receive from the Olympics.

Q. Which event – or which athlete – are you most looking forward to watching and why?
A. Wheelchair racer Mickey 'The Bush' Bushell. I used to train with him and he is a good friend of mine. So the T53 track events are top of my list.

Q. Which of the ParalympicsGB team do you think will surprise us?
As an athletics man I'm biased but after winning just two golds in track and field events in Beijing, the introduction of Peter Eriksson, 14-time Paralympic gold medallist Chantal Petitclerc, and a lot of promising results from the athletes over the last 12 months, I'm sure we will see that number of golds at least doubled.

Q. What aspect of covering the Paralympics are you most excited about?
A. The opportunity to present Paralympians on the largest scale ever. And finally see them get the recognition they deserve! Plus the impact the Paralympics will have on society.

Q. What is your biggest fear about the Games?
A. That the athletes think we haven't done a good enough job of presenting them.

Q. Tell us something about another member of the C4Paralympics team.
A. Hmm, not massively interesting, but I have shared rooms and beds with my fellow presenting team on a couple of occasions.

Q. The GB team won 42 golds last time, how many will they get at London 2012?
A. I'm going to say 65!
