London 2017 gold medalist Stef Reid has been recognised in the Queen's New Year Honours, being awarded an MBE for her services to Paralympic sport.
The T44 long jumper claimed her first world title at the World Para Athletics Championships back in July, a year after winning silver at the Rio 2016 Games.
Away from the track, the 33-year-old played a key role as a board member for the organising committee of the World Para Athletics Championships, which were a huge success.
Reid played a part in Channel 4's coverage of the Championships and made her acting debut in 'The Energy Within', which premiered at the British Film Institute in October.
Speaking about her award, Reid said: “It had already been a great year, and this news left me completely stunned! I didn’t even believe it. My husband opened the letter and told me the news – I told him ‘don’t be silly, that’s ridiculous’.
"I am so thankful and honoured to be awarded an MBE. Sport has opened so many doors in my life and introduced me to some incredible people who have encouraged and challenged me. I am especially proud to represent a country that values para sport.”
