Have you ever misfired an arrow with unfortunate consequences?
"I've never hit anyone if that's what you mean! But yes, I have had a few accidents. At university, I put an arrow through a bag of my own clothes after it went straight through the target, and I also smashed a window at home. I was practising indoors in the hallway, and again it went right through the target and slammed into the window."
William Tell famously shot an apple off his son's head. Confident you could pull it off?
"I wouldn't take the risk. But saying that, I have shot an apple off the head of teddy bear for a TV programme on Channel 4."
