What's the greatest moment in your career so far?
"Winning gold at the Beijing Paralympics was very special. I'd dreamt of winning Paralympic gold for as long as I can remember, so to do it aged 21 was amazing."
Highs and lows, ying and yang. What's the worst part of your career?
"Having to get up on a Sunday morning to go to the gym when my flatmates sleep all day. When I get there though I realise that this is what sets me apart."
Who is your sporting idol?
"When I was younger I watched Tanni Grey-Thompson compete at the Sydney Paralympics on television. She really brought disabled sport into the mainstream and I admired that she was more than just a great athlete, but a great ambassador too."
What are you most scared of?
"Big spiders and daddy longlegs - I'm not that squeamish, but I'd rather avoid them."
What is your worst habit?
"I'm a perfectionist. I'm never satisfied and often focus on the bad things."
If you could send a person, place or thing into Room 101, what would it be?
"Computer games. Go out and play a sport instead I say."
If you could have a super power, what would it be?
"I was going to say being able to read people's minds, but I'm not so sure you'd want to know everything people think. So instead I'll say that being able to fly would be cool. You could get away from it all, and beat the traffic."
What is your favourite cheese?
"Cranberry Wensleydale."
Hollywood comes knocking. Who plays you in a film about your life?
"I asked my male flatmates this question and they said Nicole Kidman or Julia Roberts. I was quite flattered."
You're on Come Dine With Me with three famous figures. Who do you choose (they can be alive or dead) and what would you cook them?
"I'd invite Pierre de Fermat and..."
Hang on. Who is Pierre de Fermat?
"He's a famous 17th-century mathematician."
Of course he is. Sorry. Carry on.
"I want to know whether he really did prove Fermat's Last Theorem. I'd also invite Matt Bellamy from Muse. They're such a talented band and I'd love them to write my freestyle music for London 2012 (and I might fancy Matt a little). I'd also choose Dawn French for some light entertainment. I really can't cook so I would employ a chef and pass the meal off as mine!"
Which celebrity would you swap places with and why?
"Zara Phillips. I could still ride, but be royalty and marry a rugby player!"
