 Have you ever been heckled by the crowd?
"All the time when I played club basketball in Spain. The fans there are a lot more vocal than the supporters here at home and they're not shy about giving you some."


Who are your biggest rivals?
"At international level we always have a good ding-dong with the Australians. To be fair, there's a bit of bad blood between the two teams more often than not."


Who would play you in a film of your life?
"Peter Kay. He's a funny fella like me."


What would you eat all day if you weren't an athlete?
"Bacon butties!"


What are you like to be around when you've lost?
"I'm like an angry Rottweiler. I'll go for anyone if we've got a bad result. I really hate losing."


What's the worst sporting decision you've made?
"When I was feeling low or lonely in Spain, I think it was making the move to play there!"


Do you have any superstitions?
"I'm very particular about the way I tape my fingers up before a match. If I don't get it right, I feel cursed out on the court."


Who is your basketball idol?
"A player called John Stockton. He played in the NBA for Utah Jazz in the 1980s and 1990s."


Favourite basketball film?
"It's called 'Above The Rim' with Bernie Mac and Tupac in it."


Ever pulled off a length-of-the-court glory shot?
"I've never managed a full-length one but I did land a pretty special shot in the semi-final of the World Championship against Australia in 2002. It was a hook shot from inside my own half."
